The Life Story of Trent Tompkins: Central HS to UC Davis, A FREAK ATHLETE!

On todays episode, The man that bleeds black and orange, Trent Tompkins everybody! Trent begins by taking us back to life growing up in Easton, a little farm town just outside of Fresno, Ca. and how being surrounded by a wide range of activities early let him really figure out what he wanted to thrive in come high school. Moving school to school, due to his parents in the educational system, Trent found Central East High School to be home for the next 4 years.

Trent went on to achieve unprecedented things at Central, by first leading his school to their first EVER valley championship (2018) & taking them back the following year for back-to-back section championships. Trent led the Grizzlies to three straight Tri-River Athletic Conference titles, set new school passing records, and a new section record for the most touchdown passes in a single season (65), regular season TDs (47), single-season passing yards (5,001), and regular season passing yards (3,438), all recorded during his senior year. Tompkins ended his high school career ranked No. 2 in Central Section history with 11,743 career passing yards and 138 career TDs. He was the only player in the nation to throw for 5,000 or more and rush for 1,000+ yards in 2018!

Now attending UC Davis, Trent adds onto the list of achievements after earning the team’s MIKE WISE AWARD as outstanding freshman, Trent looks to open up the options this spring looking to play multiple positions come season. Tompkins saw action in all five games as a reserve QB and Wildcat while also catching himself a spot in ESPN’s SportCenter Top 10 after completing his career longest play of the year, an 86-yard scramble against Cal Poly.
